Ear Candy 120 Vital (v.1.5+) Presets

Ear Candy is a collection of 120 high-quality presets for the free Vital synthesizer (version 1.5 or higher).

It includes transitions, soundscapes, sequences, swells, and stabs that will add depth and character to your productions.

I was inspired to create this preset pack because I often skipped adding ear candy to my productions due to how time consuming it would be. Finding useful "ear candy" presets was difficult and editing the ones I found was even more difficult.

To make finding the right preset easy, these presets can be sorted by function: (transition/soundscape/sequence/swell/stab) and by character. I categorized the character of each preset using the Japanese elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, Metal, Void, in addition to Water. For example, a resonant noise sweep would be labeled with "Wind" because it sounds like gust of air or a "whoosh".

Every preset is easily edited to fit your productions by adjusting the 4 macros. For example, most transitions can be tempo-synced to last anywhere from 8 measures to a fraction of a beat. Several risers can be turned into fallers by using the mod wheel and a range macro will adjust how far pitch modulates.

Sounds You Know Installation Instructions:

Open Vital and click the hamburger menu at the top, to the left of the volume control. Click "import bank" and choose the Sounds You Know.vitalbank file.

To browse presets, click the hamburger menu. Click "browse presets". Then in the bottom left, you will see all your banks. Scroll down to "Sounds You Know" and click it. Now from the right, you can browse through the presets.
