Transients Sample Pack
150+ short WAV audio files to use for sound design
These samples were pulled from a variety of sounds: drums, keyboard instruments, metallic objects, household items, and more. They were processed to be useful through various levels of compression, equalization, or saturation. For example, samples with the "pink noise" label (e.g. "kick drum pink noise") were heavily compressed using a spectral compressor so that every frequency matches the amplitude of pink noise. This makes those samples easily layered or spliced with your sounds, without any problematic frequencies sticking out. Most of the keyboard instrument transients were processed just enough to remove any resonances that make the sample note-specific. Many of the samples are also compressed to give between 5-50 milliseconds of peak amplitude to add punch to your sounds.
Samples are split up into categories:
- Drums: 43
- Keyboards: 15
- Metal: 29
- Other: 70
To load these samples into Vital:
